You’re in the driver’s seat … so drive!

Ever had the experience of placing your life situations on the shoulders of others, only to be disappointed. We needed and expected friends to help us carry our burdens but they fell short and it may have even hurt the relationship and caused you to drifting apart.

Sometimes those burdens that we have and find so hard to carry, turn out to be impossible for the others we share them with. We have difficult decisions to make and because of our friendships, we expect others to help us, and in some cases even make those decisions for us. If an issue is tough for us to bear, they can be impossible for others, especially when they don’t belong to them in the first place. We are the only humans in the driver’s seat of our lives and we are tasked with making the tough choices.

Our paths are ours to choose. Choose wisely because whether they are great or terrible, there is really nobody to blame for our choices, but ourselves.

Our choices in life are ultimately our own responsibility, and we have to consider their potential consequences. It’s important to take ownership of our decisions and learn from both our successes and mistakes. While we can seek advice and guidance from others, the final decision and its consequences are our own to bear. This perspective empowers us to make informed choices and take control of our own destiny.

Often, you’ll find it’s just you, the problem and God. My experience has been, that is all you really need to find the right path and to keep your relationships intact. Be patient and don’t freak out.

I hope you share this information with some young people (or some old people) that have to learn to make better decisions in life.
