Make it happen! You must find a way to make IT happen … whatever your IT is. Sometimes we let being overwhelmed keep us from obtaining our dreams. There will always be something else for us to deal with. Life never stands still but just because life’s challenges seem enormous that doesn’t have to be a dream Killer. When feeling overwhelmed, we can fight back by breaking down the large task in front of us into smaller bits, chunks, more manageable pieces that we can deal with easier. Once we take a small piece and concentrate our attention on it until we handle it, we can then take on another small piece and do the same thing. We can do that until we have successfully dealt with the entire problem.
The key is that we chunk the entire situation into smaller, bite-sized pieces that we can handle. Take your time and don’t be in a hurry to get through it but focus on handling each piece before you fully move on. There is no time clock on doing things the right way and success is its own reward.
Understand that if you going to become successful, that is a learned activity. Becoming a success in our chosen field often takes more energy than we realize and we can entertain quitting when the road gets tough … Don’t, press on.
The old saying, “if you want something that you’ve never had before, you have to be willing to do the things, learn new things and think on a higher plan that you’ve ever done before. Transforming your life and becoming the you that you’ve dreamed of becoming means going to the next level and becoming tougher in some areas of your life.
A very, good friend of mine the late Dr. Timothy Benson, used to say, “it’s one thing to work hard and climbed that mountain of success. It’s quite another to maintain that success and remain on the mountaintop.” Dr. Tim’s book, “Surviving Success,” is a powerful read.
